Who we are
Emerxing Media is a trade name of Emerxing Technologies, a British Columbia company publishing free community magazines. Emerxing Technologies is the organisation responsible for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at info@emerxing.com.
The law that applies
This policy is governed by British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Our commercial electronic messages are governed by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Our Privacy Officer
BC PIPA requires us to make available the position and contact details of the individual accountable for personal information.

Any question, access request, correction request or complaint about your personal information goes to the Privacy Officer.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what you give us. There are no accounts, no logins, and no user profiles on this website.

There is no checkout, no card field and no payment form anywhere on this website, so we never receive or store your card details here. Where an advertiser pays us, we send a private invoice or a Stripe payment link after we have agreed the placement with them; the payment itself happens on Stripe’s own pages, under Stripe’s privacy policy, and Stripe tells us only that a payment succeeded and who it was from. We do not sell personal information to anyone, in any circumstance.
Consent
We ask for your consent at the point we collect, in plain language, with nothing pre-ticked. Consent to receive marketing email is separate from contacting us — you can send us a message without agreeing to anything else.
You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to the Privacy Officer or using the unsubscribe link in any message we send. Withdrawal takes effect within ten business days. Some records must be kept after withdrawal because CASL requires us to evidence the consent that existed at the time.
Where your information goes
Our website and our tools are operated by service providers, some outside Canada. Personal information stored or processed outside Canada may be accessible to the courts and law-enforcement or national-security authorities of that country. BC PIPA requires us to tell you this.

We do not share your information with advertisers, and we do not pass your enquiry to a business in our magazine unless you ask us to.
Your rights
Under BC PIPA you may ask what we hold about you and how we have used it (we respond within 30 days, as BC PIPA section 29 requires), ask us to correct anything inaccurate, withdraw consent, or complain to us — and then to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia if we have not resolved it. Send any of these to the Privacy Officer.
If something goes wrong
BC PIPA section 36.3 requires us to notify the Commissioner, and affected individuals, if a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm. We will do so without unreasonable delay, and we will tell you what happened, what information was involved, and what we are doing about it.
Cookies
This website uses no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party marketing tags.
We use no analytics product on this website at present. If we add one, we will update this section before it goes live, and we will not use a tool that sets a cookie without giving you a way to refuse it.
Children
This website is directed at business owners and adult readers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Photographs of minors in our magazines are published only with written parental consent, handled outside this website.
Changes
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be notified to anyone who has given us marketing consent.
